1.                   The Board met with representatives of the accounting firm of Kahn, Litwin, Renza & Co. Discussions with this firm have been ongoing for several months. It was decided to engage their services to assume the accounting and bookkeeping duties for the Beach Club.

2.                   Noise abatement in the restaurant was discussed. A decision was made not to hire an Acoustical Engineer but instead to proceed with installing some sound-absorbing materials on the walls, ceiling and around the windows. Cliff will continue to move forward with this project.

3.                   The Manager presented a report to the Board concerning the status of all ongoing projects in anticipation of the Club opening in two (2) weeks. Painting is almost complete. Door handles and numbers are due to arrive any day and will be installed prior to opening. Awnings should be up by Memorial Day weekend. The water is turned on and there have been very few leaks. Computer Systems for the Beach Club and restaurant are up and running and technology personnel have been on site making adjustments. Hiring for the summer help is near complete. The remodeling of the bar is finished and the bar should be open for Memorial Day weekend.

4.                   There was a discussion concerning screen doors now that Cabana doors have been painted a new color. All screen doors must be painted in the new blue color before they can be hung. We will supply paint to owners who want to paint their own doors, however, maintenance is going to set a price to paint, rescreen, and reinstall screen doors. Once the price is set, it will be announced in the Beacon.

5.                   The Fireworks Committee presented a report to the Board. As it stands, a vendor has been contacted and can provide the Beach Club with a fireworks display on the night of July 3^rd. The current proposal is for a cost of $7,500.00 or $10,000.00 Details and terms of charging for Guest Passes and handling the additional traffic and parking are still being worked out. The next significant hurdle is to meet with the Fire Marshall and determine whether or not a permit can be issued. The Committee will report back to the Board at its next meeting.

6.                   There was some discussion after a suggestion by one of the Board Members that we begin to sell advertising in the Beacon and also look into selling advertising space in and about the Club as a way of producing revenue. Although some members thought it was an idea that might have some merit, others thought it might deter from the atmosphere at the Beach Club. The Board decided to take the matter under advisement.
